Welcome to my portfolio ...

These are just a few of my photographs, some of them taken locally in Barnby Dun near Doncaster. The rest are a collection of sunsets, taken mainly in the Baltic Sea, views of Tuscany, Italy, the Lake District, Gran Canaria and Marrakech.

The local ones reflect the passing seasons with snow, sunshine and floods all bringing variety and interest to the local scene.

The sunsets reflect the beauty of our northern seas where the setting sun often provides a dramatic backdrop for the journey to St Petersburg and Russia.

The panoramas of Florence and Pisa show the beautiful light that drew so many artists to Italy's renaissance capital.

Gallery 4 contains pictures of the beautiful village of Deia on Majorca where the war poet Robert Graves lived and died, and Chopin scandalised local decency by having an affair with female feminist writer George Sands.

Gallery 5 shows some views of the northern lakes around Keswick in the Lake District with Skiddaw and the Helvellyn range prominent.

Gallery 6 shows how snow can transform the landscape with some views of Barnby Dun canal taken with a Canon Eos 5D Mk II.

Gallery 7 has views of Bramwith Lock on the Stainforth Canal taken in early spring.

Gallery 8 shows the man made beauty of the oases on the volcanic islands in the Canary Islands.

Gallery 9 shows the magnificence of the Yves St Laurent gardens which were renovated by Jacques Majorelle in Marrakech.

Gallery 10 shows a family of robins in the garden.
